Our First Month in Idaho

We've been in Coeur d'Alene now for just over a month and finally settled in our new place. Looking back on the last few months, I still can't believe we had three major life changes happening at the same time...a new job, a move to another state and having a baby. Two of the three changes have been completed and now we're just anxiously waiting for the arrival of number four. Just a few updates since we arrived. Logan loves his new school and teacher. He was recently tested and placed in the advanced reading program and math for next year. He is excited for summer and will be playing baseball and attending a few sports camps. Reagan and Lola have been my "little helpers" with unpacking and getting things ready for the new baby. We have a lot of fun together and they love going to any store of any kind. They can always find something they think we need. They are both very excited about being big sisters and helping take care of the baby. Reagan will start Kindergarten in the fall and is playing Tee-ball and soccer this summer. Her dance career was short lived and she is adamant that she only plays sports now. Lola has dance fever and loves to play dress up. She starts ballet and tap classes later this month so needless to say our short break from activities is over and will be in full force when the baby arrives.

Steve's job is going well and he enjoys the extra time he has in the evening with a shorter commute and no traffic. We have tried to explore on the weekends when we can and looking forward to spending the summer at the beach. We are about 5-8 minutes from both Hayden Lake and Lake Coeur d' Alene. We had our first guests over Memorial Day weekend. My friend Diane and her family came up from Utah to visit for the night on their way to Oregon. Although it was raining, we still got to do some sightseeing and had a great BBQ and visit with them. I celebrated another birthday at the beginning of June which was a great excuse for Steve and I to go on a "date night" which we both really enjoyed and appreciated since those special dates might be few and far between once the baby arrives.

Well enough for now since my "mommy time out" is over. I'll try to write weekly and keep you all posted on our happenings here in N. Idaho. We love it and looking forward to having family and friends visit. Blessings, Jen
